That Strange Benediction

“The work is wonderful and I’m in it for the long game. People say, ‘This is your moment.’ Well, I hate to say it, but I don’t believe in moments. I don’t believe in one-offs. I believe in something continuing and continuing, and I want to be doing this job for the next 50 years if I live that long.”

Modern day magic, as we know it, is all about the art of distracting the audience and distorting their perceptions. A magician throws a ball and it vanishes midair, although in truth, the audience is distracted by the magician’s theatrical gestures that nobody notices the fact that the ball never really flew out of his hand – it’s safely tucked...

Im 43 years old and have been diagnosed with mild high blood pressure (140/90) for the past 2 years. Initially with cardiologist advice, I was prescribed on Micardis 40mg medication once daily whereby my bp at 110/75 on average and the side effects of this medication increases my heartbeat from average 65 to 80 beats per minute. Besides that I have also experienced palpitations twice within a year and seek advice from another cardiologist regarding to my diagnosed LVH disease in which the doctor advised to change the medication from Micardis 40mg to Concor 5mg. Now, my BP is under control as usual on average 110/80 and the pulse at 60 beats per minute but the side effects are losing hair and weight gain. Pls advise the alternative BP medication as to restore my hair and prevent weight gain. Thank you. Note: I AM ALLERGY TO SULFUR. Submitted By: Kumar
