HealthToday wins awards for Best Health Journalism
Kuala Lumpur, 1 July 2011 – The hard work and close attention to detail that makes HealthToday Malaysia’s top all-health magazine has now also earned it coveted awards.
Writer Roshini Anthony and Editor Grace Kang-Ong bagged two awards in the Ministry of Health (MOH)’s Best Health Journalism Awards 2011, English magazine category. The awards were given out by Health Minister Dato’ Sri Liow Tiong Lai.
The article ‘What’s Eating You?’ won the Grand Prize for Roshini Anthony, while ‘How Your Body Regulates Temperature’, written by Grace Kang-Ong, received the consolation prize.
The annual MOH media awards recognise excellence in journalism for positive and accurate reporting of health issues, especially in promoting awareness among the public. It was open to all journalists and drew 156 entries.
Grace, a nutritionist by training and organic food lover, started writing for magazines some time back before joining HealthToday as its editor four years ago. Roshini, a biomedical science graduate and Indian classical dancer, began her writing career with HealthToday and secretly yearns to become a renowned novelist.
